Eddie Howe's Newcastle United have seen their revised offer for Brentford star Yoane Wissa rejected. Newcastle United are keen on acquiring Wissa as they look to reinforce their attack before the end of the transfer window. After their initial bid was turned down, the Magpies returned with an improved offer.

However, their £40 million package has been rejected by Brentford. Wissa joined Brentford back in 2021 and has been one of their standout performers, involved in 39 matches last season with 20 goals and five assists.

Despite having a year left on his contract, Brentford is reluctant to sell Wissa this summer. With Newcastle desperate for a striker, it will be interesting to see if they make another attempt before the window closes.
