The draw for the DFB Pokal semi-finals took place on Sunday evening, following the quarter-finals conclusion 12 days ago. Bayern beat RB Leipzig 2-0, while Stuttgart and Leverkusen each won 3-0 against Kiel and St.Pauli respectively. Freiburg clinched victory over Hertha through penalties.

Bayern Munich are heading into the semi-finals hoping to break a dry spell, having last reached the DFB Pokal final in 2020; Freiburg, on the other hand, were finalists in 2022.
