Cologne has rejected Brighton's bid for Said El Mala. The technological-driven club offered up to €30 million to bring the young talent into the English league. Though considered, Cologne decided to keep El Mala at their club.

Brighton showed interest in El Mala’s prowess to join the Premier League following his promising performance. They initially set the bid and even offered salaries worth approximately €15 million over five years. However, El Mala remains in Cologne and continues with the team amidst hopes for his inclusion in the national squad ahead of the World Cup.
