Real Oviedo, a La Liga outfit, has secured an important deal to reinforce the team’s midfield department during the January transfer window. This follows the Carbayones’ confirmation of finalizing an agreement for the signing of Nicolás Fonseca. Fonseca, currently 27, plays his club football in Mexico’s top-flight with León and is known for his robust, defensive midfield role. He has represented his native Uruguay at the senior international level since 2024, accumulating seven caps to date.
