Standard Liege have faced a tough setback as midfielder Casper Nielsen will be sidelined for approximately six to eight weeks due to an elbow fracture. The midfielder was injured during a 2-0 defeat to local rivals Charleroi over the weekend. A much-anticipated reunion with former teammate Teddy Teuma, who has recently joined the club, will have to wait until Nielsen recovers.

Unfortunately for the former Union St Gilloise and Club Brugge player, his time at Standard Liege has not been as impactful as hoped since his transfer last summer. He has appeared in 17 games and scored twice for the team but has yet to reach his previous level of performance. The team is now hopeful that Teuma will step up to fill the gap and make the impact that many anticipate.
