Union Saint-Gilloise announced the signing of a striker from the fourth tier of German football. Mateo Biondic has successfully moved to the Belgian side from Eintracht Trier for €220k. The Rhineland Palatinate side currently plays in the Regionalliga Südwest, one of the divisions in the fourth tier of German football.

This season, in 17 matches, Biondic scored seven goals and provided five assists with Trier, currently sitting 11th in the 18-team league. Now, Biondic’s move to USG suggests the possibility of him featuring in the Champions League should the Brussels side qualify for the playoff round.
