Real Madrid are heading towards their sixth win from six matches in La Liga, holding a two-goal lead against Levante at the Ciudad de Valencia. The hosts had a few major chances early on but were punished as Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for Real Madrid with his third goal of the season. The La Liga leaders doubled their lead soon after with Franco Mastantuono netting his first since arriving from River Plate.

 

Levante regrouped after the halftime interval and managed to reduce the deficit less than 10 minutes into the second half, thanks to Karl Etta-Eyong. Etta-Eyong, who has previously scored against Real Betis and Girona, made it three goals from three appearances as he capitalized from a yard out, beating Thibaut Courtois to the ball and giving the hosts a lifeline.
