His Bundesliga club, FC St. Pauli, confirmed on Monday that his loan arrangement with Blackpool was prematurely terminated. However, Banks will spend the remainder of the 2025/26 season in the English third division with Barnsley.

Banks had been poised to earn Bundesliga playing time with St. Pauli, showing promise in pre-season friendlies at Hamburg, but management decided on another loan.
