Despite the frustration of once again playing at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Hansi Flick’s side responded positively as they aim to chase down Real Madrid. A midweek win in their UEFA Champions League opener at Newcastle United prompted team changes to maintain La Blaugrana’s unbeaten start to the league campaign.

 

Two of those changes paid off immediately for Flick as Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres linked up on 15 minutes. Despite scoring twice at St. James’ Park, Flick opted to bench Marcus Rashford, with his replacement Torres popping up to bury Olmo’s cheeky back heel.
