Franck Haise is set to become the head coach of Rennes, replacing Habib Beye according to a report by Canal+ this Wednesday. Les Rouge et Noir have reportedly reached a breakthrough in their negotiations with the former RC Lens and OGC Nice manager, who has been a free agent since leaving Les Aiglons in December.

Haise will make a return to Rennes after coaching the club's youth teams from 2006 to 2012. The 54-year-old head coach is expected to sign an 18-month deal with the sixth-placed Ligue 1 team. Haise is not expected to be on the Roazhon Park bench for Friday’s home Ligue 1 game against the league leaders PSG. Rennes’ reserve team head coach Sébastien Tambouret will lead the team against Luis Enrique’s side.
