Atletico Madrid have confirmed that midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza will miss both legs against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League Round of 16 after coming off at halftime in a 3-2 victory over Real Sociedad last weekend. Mendoza was forced off following a collision with Real Sociedad’s winger, Ander Barrenetxea. The young player, who joined from Elche in January, faces several weeks on the sidelines due to the injury to his right ankle.
