Ahead of a crucial match against FC St. Pauli this weekend, FC Augsburg confirmed two outgoing transactions on Friday. French striker Steve Mounie and German attacking midfielder Yusuf Kabadayi are both headed to Turkey on loan for the season. Three games into the start of competitive play, the Bavarian-Swabian Bundesliga outfit has reduced its squad size to 29 professionals.

 

Mounie emerged strong from Augsburg's training camp and scored the game-winning goal in Augsburg's opening round Pokal win against Hallescher FC. However, head coach Sandro Wagner saw little need for the second-year FCA professional and was looking for a loan opportunity for the Benin international. After a loan deal with Angers collapsed, Mounie will head to Alanyaspor for the year.
