Chelsea have recalled Deivid Washington from his loan spell at Brazilian side Santos, with his future set to be decided soon.

 

According to Itatiaia Esporte, Chelsea have decided to recall young striker talent Deivid Washington from his loan spell at Santos. The highly-rated South American attacker was expected to stay at Santos until the end of the year, but the Blues are now expected to find a fresh solution to his immediate future.

 

Washington was prised away from Santos, having come through the Brazilian side’s academy and had already made a few appearances for the first team there. Chelsea took him away despite facing competition from Monaco, as Washington chose English football over a switch to France.
