Charges of fraud and money laundering were filed this week against the latest Barcelona President Joan Laporta and nine others associated with him, with five being either former or current board members. Laporta has strongly denied all allegations.

It was revealed that a Barcelona member had lodged accusations against Laporta. The member, Isidro Lopez, who resides in Toledo and is a deputy in the far-right Vox party of Spain, publicly stated that he just 'wants the facts clarified'.
