Barcelona’s seemingly never-ending saga over a Camp Nou return has taken another twist ahead of the La Liga restart. Hansi Flick’s side return from the international break with seven points gained from their opening three league outings. The first game back, at home to Valencia has been long scheduled as their first appearance back at the redeveloped Camp Nou, in front of a limited capacity crowd.

 

However, ongoing delays and battles with local authorities over relevant licences have meant a change of plan, with the clash against Los Che now being played at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on September 14. That has kickstarted a rolling clock on when Barcelona can return home, with La Liga asking to be kept updated immediately, ahead of a home game against Getafe on September 21.
